JENNA BLUM: THE KEY OF LOVE (2022)
A narrative podcast, this 8-episode historical romance by bestselling author Jenna Blum is set in 1943. The story involves a songwriter named Francis Key (a descendant of Francis Scott Key) who FDR tasks with writing a new national anthem.
I wrote the new national anthem.
"Lady Liberty" sounds like a Great American Songbook standard, a patriotic fight song that doubles as a paean to Francis' muse, Libby. It's in episode 6 but check it out on the right, performed by the great Ruby Rakos.
I also arranged some 1940’s music for this podcast, and I’m “piano acting” as Francis’ hands throughout. THE KEY OF LOVE is from Jane Green and Emerald Audio Network, home of female-driven storytelling.Â
