Wide Open
I went to the US Open! Tennis, not golf. I've always wanted to go and for some reason never really comprehended that regular normal people are allowed to buy affordable seats. In the main stadium we saw the Bryan twins play, but they lost. Then we saw the Williams sisters play doubles (this was a few days before Serena's freakout) and it was killer, they beat some gals from China. That was in the smaller stadium and we got up quite close:

Continuing on my weeks-late delivery schedule, this week's song for September 13 was actually written and recorded much later than that, but I won't tell you how late! What counts is there's a song for the Sunday. I've been in a bit of an aimless rut, coming back to NYC and booking new work after six months out of town. I'm in a stage of reminding people I exist... and I'm holding out for something, though I can't quite put my finger on what.
I was toying around with the music for a while on piano and then decided it would be better on an electric piano sound, much spacier. I always love adding strings to songs, these strings come in pretty late but I think they definitely change the track for the better once they do.
